It was the shape of an open cherry blossom that inspired designer Helle Damkjær to create her popular Bloom series. "I have my studio in Paris, one of the most exciting European metropolises. As a counterbalance and contrast to the inspiration I find here in Europe, I like to travel to the Far East and let myself be inspired by the unique landscapes and natural forms of Asia. During a visit to Japan in spring, I was simply overwhelmed by the beauty of the cherry blossom. The delicate, soft contours of the cherry blossom inspired me to create Bloom," says Helle Damkjær.
